by: Amuro Wesley

Do you want to know tips on how to maintain a healthy love life in your marriage? Of course you want, who does not? The only reasons you would not care are your marriage is as strong as ever or ending up in divorce.

Let’s assume that you love your spouse and living a healthy love relationship as your main priority.

Firstly, you need to consider your feelings of attraction and desire for your partner at first, treating your every moment of your time together as is your last.

At times, your photos, movies, TV dramas and even songs played at that very moment or of lyrics relevant to your current situation can bring back those memories subconsciously.

Secondly, you need to focus on things that you can control. You cannot change others. Not even your spouse. But you can change yourself. However to do that, you need to let go of your pride, ego and be humble in order to accept your spouse the way he or she is. It is not easy but necessary to keep your marriage going.

Thirdly, you should learn how to express yourself in healthy ways. Healthy ways as in making sure that you remain calm even when things are not going well for any reason. Many times, we all tend to express anger and frustration hoping others can sense our confusion and hurt but only succeed in hurting others.

Fourthly, be thankful to your spouse for what he or she has done for you. People like to feel appreciated and valued for who they are. By doing that, chances of maintaining your love will be much higher.

Finally, you are accountable for your current situation. No one is responsible for your plight. Not even your spouse. You can blame yourself for your faults but you cannot blame yourself by thinking you are useless and harbouring thoughts of suicide. Always remember that being responsible and having inferiority complex are two different issues which will have different impact on your future.

After reading everything I laid out for you, you should make it your routine to apply them everything everyday. Only then can you achieve a healthy love life in your marriage.

Did you ever take a moment to stop and think why you diet? The word diet invokes pain and sacrifice.

According to the medical dictionary, the word diet is: “A prescribed course of eating and drinking in which the amount and kind of food, as well as the times at which it is to be taken, are regulated for therapeutic purposes.” The word therapeutic has an interesting connotation to it. Would you have thought a diet to be therapeutic; akin to a spa treatment or a special dose of medication? Query: Is dieting a choice or a necessity?

While there are as many reasons for dieting as there are dieters, it takes a certain amount of dedication, fortitude and will power to maintain a diet program. If you were ever on a diet, how did you feel? Were you successful in achieving your desired goal; or are you still struggling with it?

Were you aware that during the 17th and 18th centuries, physicians and patients regulated their food carefully, in order to prevent disease? Did you also know that in 1863, a gentleman by the name of William Banting was one of the first people known to have successfully lost weight by developing a diet by targeting carbohydrates? Sound familiar?

There are many ways in which you can successfully diet using the following techniques: Always be seated at a table when eating. Avoid having dinner in your living room while watching television. Eat only when you’re hungry; three healthy meals a day is the norm. Eat slowly; put down your fork between each bite. Chew your food slowly and methodically; try not to quickly chew and swallow. Never go shopping on an empty stomach; not only will you buy everything in sight, but spend a fortune to boot. If you have a nine-to-five job; bring your lunch and eat outdoors, never in your cubicle.Exercise whenever possible. If you can walk 20 minutes on your lunch hour; do it. Take a trip to your local park, and walk around the track once or twice. If you have an errand to run, and you can walk instead of drive; do it. If you enjoy music, turn on the stereo in your home and move. On weekends, take your kids bike riding; or spend a day at the park playing touch football.

Whether dieting is a choice or a necessity, the key is not to allow it to take over your life. Just do the best you can, as often as you can. Focusing too much on one thing becomes an obsession; which leads to stress if not perfectly achieved; and eventually puts you in a state of angst. Nothing is worth your mental or emotional health, particularly when it comes to dieting. Perhaps it is a matter of choice.

A few kids have actually died from the flu this year here in Colorado one of them 15 years old! Being healthy is one thing I know I often take for granted until I get sick, that is. I’ve found that it’s easier to stay healthy than it is to get healthy again once you’re sick, too. With that in mind (and the season just getting underway), here are some quick tips for staying healthy this wrestling season:

Eat well. This means eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, the best way to get all the nutrients your body needs to stay healthy.
Avoid sugar! Sugar depresses your immune system. Soda pop is probably the #1 culprit for most people, so do yourself a favor and have a water or fresh juice instead. (Dads and coaches, alcohol also depresses your immune system.)
Supplement with vitamins/minerals. Vitamin C and zinc, in particular, have been shown to strengthen the immune system.
Get enough sleep.

Our immune system is very dependent on this, and we’re especially vulnerable to sickness when we neglect our proper rest (around 8 hours per night for most people).
Stay well hydrated. Our bodies need plenty of water to function properly, especially when it’s doing extra things like working out and fighting off all the “bugs” that typically go around. Hot drinks and soups are also good here, and help us
Stay warm. When we get cold, we force our bodies to work to stay warm. This takes energy away from the immune system and makes us more vulnerable to sickness.
Exercise (this one’s easy during the season!). Regular exercise keeps your metabolism high and your body (including your immune system) functioning at a high level like a well-oiled machine.
Stay clean. Shower right after practice, and wash your hands with soap and hot water frequently. Most cold and flu viruses are spread by direct contact.
Avoid close contact with people who have a cold or flu.
Keep your hands out of your eyes, nose, and mouth. Your hands are probably the one part of your body where you’re most likely to pick up virus-spreading germs. No need to help out the “bad guys” by putting them directly inside you!
Keep a positive attitude and a joyful outlook. More on that below!

Article by Marjorie Geiser

Five points to consider when you want to fit fitness into a hectic lifeWhen I tell people what I do for a living, many will tell me they wish they had the time to exercise, but just can’t seem to fit it in. This is one of the biggest excuses people give for not making exercise a part of their life. However, we all have time for the things we feel are important enough. Many people actually have more time than they think. Research now supports breaking increased activity into 10-minute blocks, which anyone can do without even thinking about it.Do any of these scenarios sound like you?•I am too tired to do anything after work so I drop down in front of the TV•With the kids and husband, there is just no time for me•I work too many hours and have too many responsibilities to get away from the office•First thing in the morning I always spend an hour drinking my coffee and reading the paper•I really need to relax in the middle of the day, so I read fiction books at lunchtime•I’d love to exercise but there’s no place for me to do it•I’m too tired at night and I hate to get up early in the morningAlthough exercise is a normal part of my own life, I also try to include a 90-120 minute walk into town several times a week. As I was taking that walk the other day, I realized that there are things in my own life that I perceive I have no time for. This thought gave me a laugh, because here I was, spending 2 hours doing something that other people perceive they have no time for! In this article, I will give you five helpful tips on how to fit regular fitness into your hectic lifestyle. Then, if you are able to find the time, lack of time will no longer be a valid excuse. My question to you will then be this: Do you continue to not exercise because you don’t have the time or don’t have the will? That is a subject for a different article.1.Determine when you could realistically spend time exercisingWhen starting a new activity, you have to first realistically determine when you can DO that activity. If you are busy driving home from work or cooking dinner at 5pm each night that will not be the time of day to try to exercise. So, pull out your calendar and put some serious thought into when, every day, you could do some type of exercise. Don’t worry about what that exercise is, just determine the time and how much time it would be.Example: You really would like to go to bed earlier each night. This may be the motivator you’ve been looking for, because if you went to bed earlier, you could get up earlier, and then exercise. Example: You really could use a break from work in the middle of the day. You often take a couple hours for lunch just to escape work, so this could be shortened to also include some type of activity. There is a racquetball court not far from work and you have some old college buddies who might be interested in a lunchtime game or two.Example: If you exercised first thing in the morning, before other activities, it would be done each day without guilt. You really do have the time if you do it first thing but you just let yourself sleep in each morning.Example: There is just no place on your schedule that you can find a continuous 60 minutes you are willing to commit to exercise. However, you could do 20 minutes in the morning, 15-20 minutes at lunch, and 20 minutes in the evening.2.Investigate what activities you would like to doAgain, it has to be something you’re going to enjoy, or it won’t matter that you found the time! So, consider all options that are realistic. Do you have a pool that you would enjoy using? Look into group exercise classes at clubs near you, or perhaps the local “Y”. Some people do better if they are committed to show up somewhere, others prefer to do it at home and not have to dress to come and go.Sit down and make a list of all possibilities as well as all locations you would like to look into. Consider finding an exercise partner. Maybe you would enjoy taking a walk with a neighbor, family member or friend.Example: Several friends have invited you to join their basketball game once a week after work. You have thought about it but never follow through.Example: You see two neighbors out walking each morning. You know them both but have put off contacting them to see if they would mind a third person. Example: A workmate has been taking a Yoga class at lunchtime each week. She has invited you several times but you have always found some excuse to avoid it.Example: You have a treadmill at home that stores blankets. You can clean them off and use it in the morning and night, and at lunch you can go for a walk with workmates who take a 15 minute walk each day.3.Put it on your calendarEspecially when you first start a new activity, if you don’t write it down, you may forget about it. This may not be because you are trying to avoid it, but seriously because it’s not a habit, yet. Also, the busier you are, the more important it is that you include it on your calendar. For some people, if it’s on their calendar, they take the activity more seriously. For example, I recently started taking Pilates classes, but they have to be entered into my calendar because it’s between clients in the course of my day. If I did not have it on my calendar, I may forget and schedule clients in that time.4.Prepare ahead for the activityThe more prepared you are, the more likely it is you will do it. If you exercise first thing in the morning, have your workout clothes out and ready to put on. If you walk during lunchtime at work, make sure you pack a bag that has your shoes and any change of clothes for the walk.Another example of preparing would be if there is a class you’d like to take but you have scheduled another appointment for that time. If it’s an appointment that can be moved, move that so that you can create a habit with your new exercise class.5.Share your intentions with othersThe more people you tell, the more likely you are going to do it. Sometimes just the thought of not doing something you told others you were doing is enough to keepyou going. Maybe it’s a challenge to yourself to keep your word, out of integrity. The more people you share this with, the more people who will be asking you how things are going. If you are skipping your workouts, soon people are going to ask if you really are doing them. If just telling people about your intentions to exercise is not enough, perhaps telling the instructor of a class you’ve started to take would help. Or, talking to classmates and making the statement that you will see them in the next class could be enough. For some people, just telling yourself your intentions would work. You could make a commitment to yourself and come up with a reward if you meet your commitment. One example of a reward might be buying yourself a new item of clothing or something else you would enjoy. We’ve just looked at 5 strategies to overcome the excuse of not enough time to exercise. Research has shown that it’s necessary to get 60 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week for people who wish to lose weight. If this is a goal you have, use the strategies above to overcome the perception of lack of time. For many people, simple strategies such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator, using a pedometer to strive for 10,000 steps per day, or parking at the far end of the parking lot into various buildings can actually be included in increasing exercise to meet the 60 minute goal.If you have been considering how to include exercise into your daily life, sit down and make a plan on how you are going to make it happen. Use the strategies above and perhaps one day you will be out taking a walk, thinking of all the other things you don’t have time for.

Latino Health Issues. Latino Health Surprises and Strengths. Public Policy that affects and influences Latinos and health. How we define, engage and protect our own health

And, perhaps most important, how these issues affect us and our day to day lives.

Health is applicable to every area of our being — we talk about emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health. We also discuss our financial health.

I chose this issue for this month, January, since health issues — and getting “healthier” in a number of ways — seem to be on everyone’s minds.

We take up exercise (or head back to the gym), promise to get out of debt, or perhaps even think about going to church more, sticking with a meditation program or getting “toxic” folks out of our life.

Health is about our environment as a whole, not just the physical environment, but also the psychic environment — who we let in our lives an influence our energy.

And these health issues are sometimes out of our control. We’ll also consider what in our world influences our health in our communities — asthma, environmental toxins, our housing, etc.

There are community health centers that focus on, and cater to, Latino populations. These centers often (but not always) understand that Latinos may think very differently about health issues.

For example, Latinos have for a long time understood at some level that our emotions influence our health, and vice versa. You can probably think of some examples of this.

Some of our families’ “superstitious” ways and folk medicine have been remedies for the things that ail us.

And although in certain ways Latino communities have been very progressive from a health angle, in other ways, we have been less than open.

Mental health issues have long been a stigma in our communities — sometimes to the extent that we refuse to acknowledge even in our own families that something might be drastically wrong. Issues such as schizophrenia, depression and manic disorders may not be recognized at all.

And our sexual health and well-being is something that is also not often addressed.

How do we take care of our own health, and do so in a way that encourages not only our own well-being, but that of those in our communities as well?

This month we’ll hear from women who work in different health arenas, and find out what issues they see, and how they deal with health concerns in their own lives.

What about YOU? In what ways do you want to get healthier? What are your challenges, and what are your strengths? Go for it, chica! This is the year to become the most Powerful Latina yet…

Aurelia Flores wants to offer a learning opportunity to other women who might find themselves in similar shoes. She strongly believes women can learn from other women, no matter where they are in their career or life path.

Aurelia Flores went from single teenage mother in an abusive relationship to Stanford Law School grad and Senior Counsel for a Fortune 500 company and has overcome obstacles and founded Powerful Latinas to get Latina women to learn and share with one another. Powerful-Latinas mission is “helping powerful Latina women stay grounded in their power!” To find out more, go to www.PowerfulLatinas.com.

Webster’s dictionary defines health as a noun which refers to the general condition of the body or mind. Health is associated with the state of functionality of the body of an organism, especially the human body. There is no general agreement about any definition of health since health itself cannot be measured.

Traditionally, Health has been defined as “the presence or absence of disease”. But with the establishment of the World Health Organization (WHO), the definition of health has received a more holistic approach which reflects health in relationship with a variety of factors such as the individual’s physical, social, psychological, and emotional condition; environmental and cultural factors, as well as the creativity and productivity of a person.

WHO’s constitution defines Health as…

“A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

This definition of health has not been amended since 1948.

Other Definitions of Health

Health as an adaptive process…

(1953) The United States President’s Commission on Health Needs of the Nation states “Health is not a condition; it is an adjustment. It is not a state but a process. The process adapts the individual not only to our physical but also our social environments”.

(1951) Talcott Parsons also conceptualized health as an ability to maintain normal roles. Parsons is an American sociologist and creator of the concept “sick role”.

Over the decades, many health professionals and health theorists have provided their own definitions of health. Thus, health becomes an individual perception which can only be achieved through an on-going process of the person’s aspect of the human body, mind, and feelings.

Maintaining Health

Effective strategies are needed in order to achieve and maintain good health. This includes stress management, health care, wellness programs, social activity, hygiene, and observations of daily living.

This can be attained by being able to effectively manage stress through thorough observations of daly living as well as utilizing health care and wellness programs that the government and independent sectors offers. Having a good social relationship with other people also helps promote and maintain health.

Though in some developing countries, people cannot easily maintain good health practices due to lack of government support in terms of health care programs and the lack of financial capacity to avail medical and health insurances.

Public Health

Dr. C.E. Winslow (1920) defines Public Health as “the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health through the organised efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private, communities and individuals.”

In relation to developing countries, The Public Health Care System attempts to improve and promote the health and welfare of citizens.

The Determinants of Health

There are certain factors which makes people healthy, these factors are called the Determinants of Health. The World Health Organization listed the following determinants:

1. Gender – Males and Females vary in terms of acquiring diseases. For example, Prostate Cancer can only be acquired by men while Ovarian Cancer can only be acquired by women.

2. Personal behavior and coping skills – Persons differ in terms of behavior and coping mechanisms. These differences affects the state of health. For example, the ability to manage stress, eating habits, sleeping habits. etc.

3. Culture. – Beliefs, customs, and traditions could also affect health. For example, the existence of fake healers and quack doctors in certain countries.

4. Health Services. – The accessibility of services provided for the community. For example, third world countries could not avail advanced medical interventions for certain diseases due to lack of technology and facilities.

5. Social Support. – Health support from family, friends, relatives.

6. Education. – Low education equal poor health. For example, unhygienic practices due to lack of knowledge and information.

7. Working Environment. – People who are health-risk in the workplace. For example, factory workers are more prone to acquire lung cancer.

8. Social Status. – With higher income rates, people can easily avail quality medicines and health supplements.

9. Genetics. – Hereditary factors plays a vital role in health. For example, a young woman with a grandma who has cervical cancer is more prone to acquire cervical cancer as well.

10. Physical Environment. – Clean and Fresh Air, Safe water, clean communities plays an important role in maintaing health. For example, a communities with dirty waters are more prone to diseases such as amoebiasis, dengue fever, leptospirosis, etc.

What is health?
The definition of health is not just absence of disease and suffering, but perfect physical, mental and social well-being. We all have physical, mental and social conditions that we are more or less happy with. Many believe that this definition of health is unattainable since thousands are dying of malaria, AIDS, and hunger every day.

Good health means to experience the peace of mind, meaning and value in life and cope with the challenges we face. The values of the good life is far more difficult to measure accurately the numbers. There is no correlation between the extent of disease and extent of the good life. It turns out that people who experience a high quality of life, have stronger immune system, are sick less often and have shorter illness by disease than people who do not experience life as good and meaningful.

Health model tells where we must invest if we are to work to improve health in the population. For those who are often sick, it is important to prevent illness and injury and to reduce the risk of disease. The development of tourist trails for exercise and campaigns against smoking and alcohol may be two measures. For people who are so often ill, it is important to focus on strengthening those aspects of the individual’s life situation and the society that makes our life worth living, prosperity and security in everyday life, good, social networks, good local environment and experience of community and belonging.

When we think of health, emphasis is placed on the person unable to perform the tasks in the community that it has received, and that humans thrive in the tasks it has been, and are able to adapt and enjoy their space and are able to adapt to the norms and rules. This has an impact on common sense, and has an intrinsic value in itself.

A traditional understanding that includes both positive and negative factors, see good health as a state of homeostasis, which is equilibrium and harmony between the different parts of the human body and between humans and the environment. In the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates argued that good health was based on a balance between building blocks in the body, which he believed to be four different body bags. Later on health been understood as being functional. A healthy person is able to solve the many tasks and challenges a person faces in their normal environment.

An understanding of health as equilibrium seems reasonable. Nevertheless, the incomplete. First, sick people may also experience balance. The healthy man in the modern world is dynamic. Health is linked to development. It is also good health to be in growth and development at all levels, physical, mentally and socially. A healthy person has the ability to combine caring for your health in the medical sense to seek new experiences, learn new skills, meet new people, move into new environments, and expand their horizons. Temporary pain and suffering may be part of a healthy life if it gives different values in the longer term.

Being able to participate in a sport is a right every human being has. It is also of importance for the development of children and young people, because sports characterize and build children’s mental and physical health. They also help children to make valuable social ties to the world around us. Sport gives children more opportunities to express themselves, whether through play. This plays an important role for children who live in countries that are characterized by poverty and war. Sport is also an option to prevent drug abuse and youth crime, by providing children and young people to continue with an activity in their spare time.

It is also proven that the sport has a correlation with academic achievement. If you are physically active have a greater capacity and ability to learn and retain information, this can at best lead to better grades.

Sport may even be helping to promote equality between women and men, girls and boys. This is because the girls in many countries have less opportunities to make friends and provide a social circle because they must care for and organize the home. Sport can also help to build bridges between countries and societies that are full of problems.

Physical activity has an impact on health, it improves quality of life. It seems healthy, mentally and physically, and also helps with personal challenges, shared experiences and social meeting places in safe and good growing environment.

Provides sporting good health?
Many will answer yes. Physical Activity and Sport has been associated with good health for many centuries. The body is designed for versatile use of the muscles. There is a clear connection between being physical inactivity and disease and death. Inactive is particularly prone to cardiovascular disease, for diabetes, some cancers, osteoporosis, and depression.

If we stop with the training to clear the positive effects on your health pretty quickly. Some positive effects are:
- Increased work capacity
- Greater profits and more job satisfaction
- Strengthened immune system
- Stronger bone, cartilage, tendons and strips
- Natural drainage of stress reactions

This was just a few examples.
At the same time limits on how much exercise and activity your body can withstand. The effect of physical activity on health depends on how often and how hard we train. The effect levels off after that we increase the training volume. The effect of very large amounts of exercise can actually be in negative health sense. Everyone has heard of overload. We subjected us to great physical strain without receiving enuf rest and recovery. The body will never have time to recover. But everyone should carry a form of activity. Most people should exercise a half hour 3 times a week, with moderate intensity.

Health is such a broad concept, it has an impact on what we do in the course of a week, appearance, training, and job. Few of us are directly dependent on being in good shape to perform our work. But the healthy, strong, young body has a different meaning. It has become a social symbol that we are successful and have control over ourselves and our lives. When we stand up as veltrimmede and slender bodies, we send out signals to the surroundings. We have the will, ability and resources to develop ourselves. A body that looks healthy and fresh, is actually become a status symbol.

This leads to a few consequences. It has been proven through studies that people with a look that is close to body ideals, the easier work, better work, and milder punishment in the criminal justice system, and they are considered more pleasant, more intelligent and more social than people without the same degree satisfies the body ideals. Many will do anything to get closer and to be compared with body ideals, and this is not always a positive effect. Radical demands to be thin for eating disorders.

A desire for ever larger muscles can lead to drug abuse. Top sports, but also sport, is criticized for promoting dangerous body ideals. But while the sport may serve to soften one-sided ideals. Most sports do not focus on how your body looks, but on how it works. The negative effects have a major impact on the health of an athlete, or just doing regular excercise. But they have a positive impact as well. By training only half an hour 3 days a week, with moderate intensity, reduces Mon sick leave at work, and Perceiving, therefore more money. Mon also reduces the risk of high blood pressure, and the state reduces the amount of drugs, and can therefore spend the money on other things, such as better sports facilities. Sport is also a social. More join the sports clubs because they want to meet new people and make new friends, and this has a positive effect on health. Inactivity can cause obesity. We have a less physically active lifestyles. Both work and school days containing less activity than before, and it has become common to use means of transport to and from work, leisure activities and school that does not involve physical activity. Sitting for leisure activities have become stronger competitors to the physical activities. Increased physical activity in the form of exercise or training can only compensate for the reduced daily activity. The sum is that physical activity declines, with the health challenges this entails.
Increasing obesity in the population is a big challenge so. “In the last 15 years, men on average have gone up approx. 5 kg and females 5.8 kg in weight.

If each of us improve the health, the community as a whole more healthy. It means we can work and produce more, and have fewer sick days. How can sports, fitness and exercise provide significant socio-economic gains.

In 1999, it formed a new state agency under the Health and Social Affairs to promote physical activity in the population. The former state ernæringsråd was to the State Council for Nutrition was the government’s advice for nutrition and physical activity. The new Council operates significant activity in the form of to initiate research and carry extensive consulting work when it comes to nutrition, physical activity and health in the population and the Council distinguishes himself clearly in the public debate.

Also sports organizations sports health effects as one of its strongest arguments to gain support from the public. In fact, the health of one of the most important values in the NOC’s mission statement “All athletic activity should be based on fundamental values such as sporting joy, community, health and honesty.”

It is true that the moderate sports activity can provide health gain and hence socio-economic gain. But sport also requires resources. It costs lots of money. It allocated a lot of money from the profits from gaming funds for construction of sports facilities. Many just doing regular excercise and trimmers are more or less injuries, which uses the coating on hospital resources and leads to the absence of work. Several researchers have calculated how much the sports injuries costs, and they have reached 1.5 billion a year. Nor do any kind of sport is as healthy. Sports injuries account for about 17% of all injuries in Norway. Eating disorders constitute a part of the 17%. Eating disorders are found among women and men.

Sports and mental health
WHO parts into their health definition in two parts: what we call physical health and mental health. We will focus on the mental health and explain how it affects the sport.

A very large portion, which includes approximately 1 / 3 of Norway’s population are not involved with any kind of form of regular exercise or organized training. They are regarded as inactive, and that one third of the population are also those who are suffering with the most and great mental distress. Studies have also shown that if an inactive person select and start training, it is not certain that the person gets rid of their ailments or disorders. This may be the research by recruiting inactive people with mental health and mental disorders, to engage with training and exercise.

The reason that the inactivation is considered to have the most problems, is that those already involved in regular exercise and training is much less likely to develop mental disorders in the first place. Nevertheless, research for sports and mental health found that training and active exercise can reduce scrolling. stress, depression, anxiety, headache, fatigue and muscle pain. Exercise can also have an opposite effect. If there are high demands for performance that is seen as a threat to the example. Running on a team, this may contribute to increased stress and poor mental health. It is important that you feel in a safe in the environment Mon driver activity and that it is motivating to those who participate, not ends.

Among children and youth sports, this is a problem that’s growing larger and larger, but also among adults, with many stops or falls off. Among the previously inactive adults who start exercising, stop on average after 6 months. It is therefore important to find the right balance between pleasure, mastery and challenge. Proper sports and physical activity also provides psychological well-being and profit, and helps to strengthen self-esteem especially to children and adolescents, and adults.

Mental health is the largest trade association for users, relatives and other interested mental health services in Norway.

Sports and quality of life
As individuals, we have self-responsibility for our own health and quality of life. Humans have always been looking for to find the key to the good life. Sport and physical activity can be called a source of increased and better quality of life.

The term quality of life is not a self-written term fixed definition, for there is great freedom in what one understands this concept. Nevertheless, the World Health Organization (WHO) defined quality of life as such; personal perceptions of their own position in life, in light of current cultural and value systems and in relation to their own objectives, expectations, standards and what they are concerned. To understand this more easily we can explain what individuals positive, negative, cognitive and emotional experiences. Even if the person has good health, big house and a high income, this does not mean necessarily that the person is happy. There are also people who are happy without all this. Happiness is an important factor for good quality of life!

By conducting the training that provide positive experience and intrinsic value, we can thus enhance our self-picture. Joy, community, coping and progress in the training context also provides a positive surprise of himself, by achieving goals they have set themselves.

Quality of life is a pretty new concept, even though the people have always asked the question around “the good life”. Quality of life is very extensive and can tell how people experience different aspects of the experience in his life. If you are active, and has an affinity with people, have a sense of self and are excited and happy.

Saving a relationship is possible if both partners are committed to fixing the relationship and if the relationship itself has redeeming value. Saving it is possible if both partners stay focused and have decided they want the relationship to work. Saving a relationship is an important thing to try and accomplish and will take a lot of work. Keep in mind this is not impossible, no matter how bad the break up was. Saving a relationship is not an easy task however it can be done providing that you want it badly enough to take the right action. Doing this involves pinpointing the problems in the relationship. Saving a relationship is a whole lot easier to accomplish while you are still together instead of when the bubble bursts and it falls apart. Remember, that this is a process, how difficult it is depends on your ability to take the required steps to save a broken relationship.

Saving

Saving a relationship takes honest effort by both parties. This process is hard and does take time but by thinking, following and doing these things, you will give your relationship the opportunity to blossom again. When a relationship begins to get stale and unhappy, both partners have to get to a point where they realize that things are bad and must either commit to saving the relationship, or decide to end the relationship. Continued commitment by both partners in this process is a key element in saving your relationship and making your relationship work. If your relationship is in trouble and you are truly committed to saving it then there are ways to do so. Is it worth saving a relationship if you have been struggling to keep it together for what seems like an eternity? You don’t need advanced degrees, just a little common sense to begin saving a relationship. The first thing you must do is figure out if your relationship is really worth saving. Finally, you should realize that saving a relationship is an ongoing process.

Problem

Problems in a marriage cannot be avoided; you and your spouse will always encounter trials in your marriage. To save relationship, just hang back and think what caused the argument or the problem in your relationship and have a serious think whether your partner is right and you are wrong or whether it is the other way around. Separating the symptoms (fighting) from the problems (poor communication skills) is a crucial step in saving a relationship. Once you have identified the core problems in your relationship, it is time to start communicating about them. For example, if communication is a problem in your relationship, set aside just 10 minutes a day to check in with each other. If money is a problem, work on a budget together and make cuts that will feel easy at first and help salvage your relationship. Once you have learned how to enjoy each other again, have worked together on solving your problems, and have forgiven each other, you will have begun the process of saving your relationship.

In Conclusion

Saving a relationship is possible if both partners are committed to fixing the relationship and if the relationship itself has redeeming value. This is an important thing to try and accomplish and will take a lot of work. Saving a relationship is not an easy task however it can be done providing that you want it badly enough to take the right action. When trying to save a relationship it is simply a matter of taking proper action and following a proven plan. Saving a relationship is not the easy option, and it’s often harder than splitting up. Saving a relationship is a monumental task and any decision to save or end it should be taken only after all relevant issues have been seriously taken into consideration.

Article by Will Scott

When you are looking for how to save your relationship it makes the most sense to start with the basics and build your way up. Your effort might be admirable, but if you go about things in the wrong order you may actually make things worse and drive your love interest further away, maybe even for good.

You know, the government and our parents require that we spend (and waste?) a lot of years in primary, secondary and even college classrooms. They teach us lots of basics in math, English and science; most of which we quickly forget. But something usable like Relationships 101 is glaringly absent from any curriculum.

So here is a little bit of what I call Relationships 101 to teach you how to save your relationship. It is not uncommon for a relationship to hit a rough patch, in fact it is more common than not from my observation. One problem is that many people give up too soon.

Many of these relationships can be fixed, but never get to that stage because one or both parties got angry or were hurt and never saw past that. There may have been a little too much self focus or even near sightedness; concentrating on today and forgetting to look forward a ways.

There are times, too, when only one person is interested in how to save your relationship and that just does not work very well. Both of you need to be concerned with your future together and need to be willing to work at the relationship to keep it healthy and especially to repair it.

Before criticizing your partners behavior toward you, take a look at how you have behaved toward them. We are not assigning blame here, but that’s part of it; do not try to blame him or her without checking your own words and actions.

Remember, all I ever needed to know I learned in kindergarten? It is kind of like the golden rule, do unto your partner as you want them to do unto you.

Do you want him or her to be selfish and always demand their own way? Probably not, so make sure that is not what you are doing. How often do you think of what you can do for them without expecting anything in return?

If you have been together for a while, you are probably comfortable around them. That is good on one hand, you should be comfortable with someone you love. But it is bad if you are taking them for granted or doing things you would not do in front of someone new. Think about that one.

Pretend you have just met this person and are courting their interest. How would you dress, what would you say, how would you act? Try that and see how they respond and hopefully even reciprocate.

I’m not that old, so I don’t know for sure, but it seems like these days we make everything so much more complicated than it needs to be. That is especially true when it comes to relationship couples seem to find it so hard to figure out the problem and many times the problem is a small and simple thing.

One analogy I often use is that of a stone wall. Think of your relationship. Every time you do or say something that hurts or annoys your partner, it’s like adding another stone to the wall. A couple stones here and a few stones there don’t matter all that much, you can still easily step over the wall to be close to your partner.

And, if you apologize, and make permanent changes, to the behaviors that caused your partner pain or annoyance, you can even remove a stone sometimes.

But if you do like most couples do, and you continue to add stones after stones after stones, and you don’t remove any, you will find it virtually impossible to connect with your partner.

By that point it will be very difficult and maybe even impossible to tear down the wall and have a meaningful relationship with your partner.

The trick is to make sure your wall never gets too high. How? Easy, talk. Just talk, don’t yell, don’t shout, don’t accuse…talk.

It’s very important each person in the relationship remembers that the other person has feelings too. When you are hurt and upset it’s very easy to make everything all about ‘you’. That won’t work.

If you take the time to realize that your partner has their point of view and remember, this has absolutely nothing to do with right and wrong, it’s simply about recognizing that each person has their own view of what has happened and you need to let them express that view without getting defensive or upset, you might actually find that you are on the same page…just a different sentence!

I’ve had that very same experience. My spouse and I had very heated discussions but once we calmed down and actually talked, and listened, we realized though we were saying it in different ways we were both saying basically the same thing!

Once you come to that place it will help you take a stone out of your wall and it can also help you in the future if you can remember that you and your partner probably aren’t all that far off from each other, you’re just expressing yourselves differently.

For the most part no matter what your age, gender, religious, or sexual preferences, everyone wants to feel love, respected, appreciated, and understood. You want that and so does your partner, when it comes to relationship couples will be much better off if they never lose sight of that. If you try to deal with your partner with those things in mind, and they do the same for you, your relationship will be much smoother, and there will be a lot fewer stones in your wall.
